Formatting Instructions for Abstract Submissions

Abstracts may be submitted by either of the following methods:
  • by using the Online Form (preferred)
  • by mailing or faxing the abstract form
  • on CD (PC or Mac format) accompanied by abstract form

Abstracts may be no longer than 250 words. Abstracts which exceed this length will be returned. Electronic files must include complete contact information for all authors. (This information does not count as part of the 250 word limit.) Do not include references, diagrams, charts, or photographs in your abstract. Use any common font, such as Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier. We will reformat all abstracts for uniformity.

Save files in one of the following formats:

  • Microsoft Word
  • ASCII text

The following text formatting may be used:

  • bold
  • italics
  • super- or sub script
  • accent marks

The following text formatting may NOT be used:

  • endnotes or footnotes
  • file name tags
  • bullets
  • non ISO-Latin-1 characters (for web posting)
