Short Course Description
Biostatistics and Exploratory Data Analysis
Course Description
This course is designed to show students how to analyze data with a single continuous response variable. Students will learn to perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and discover patterns in data. Important statistical inference concepts will be discussed. Students will get hand-on experience using JMP software to apply statistical techniques such as: t-tests, analysis of variance (ANOVA), linear regression, and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). The evaluation of mathematical assumptions is discussed and graphical displays are used to illustrates the results of all analyses.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for analysts and researchers with some statistical training who want to analyze continuous response data using analysis of variance and regression methods.
