The Scientific Committee is responsible for developing the Annual Conference and Exhibition (LabAutomation) and integrating the goals and plans of the overall organization. LabAutomation is a forum for the presentation and discussion of scientific papers and symposia on laboratory automation science, technology, ethics, education and economic issues relating to the field of laboratory automation. All ALA Committees report directly to the ALA Board of Directors.
