2008 ALA Spotlight Series Makes the Grade on Campus! With workshops at Iowa State University and Michigan State University this past fall, the ALA Spotlight Series offered graduate and undergraduate students, as well as post-docs a unique opportunity to tune-up for life after graduation. The ALA Spotlight Series is a high-caliber, scientific educational program created by ALA in collaboration with corporate partners. This year's corporate partners were Pionere Hi-Bred and Syngenta Seeds. The half-day workshops comprised several comprehensive scientific-based presentations in conjunction with networking and engaging with career development specialists and scientists from both companies.
